A new cooking competition on NETFLIX, Easy Bake Battle, features a Les Dames D’ Escoffier member and Kansas City entrepreneur, foodie and blogger, Lauren Lane. Hosted by Antoni Porowski of Queer Eye fame and known for his simple, delicious recipes, Easy Bake Battle is a competition show for home cooks who can whip up tasty food quickly and draw from their extensive kitchen know-how and cooking hacks.

Lane appears in Episode 8: A New Year’s Celebration, Stuff, Skewer, and…a Toast! In the episode she shares her cooking prowess, with a sprinkle of humor, a dash of genuine charm, and a heaping spoonful of inspiration. Featuring three cooking hacks and more, Lane wows the judges when she demonstrates how to turn high-quality vanilla ice cream into a fancy French dessert sauce, Crème Anglaise.

“I was absolutely thrilled to be selected to be on this popular NETFLIX show. The Easy Bake Oven was my favorite toy as a child and now as an adult I’m still having fun playing with cooking in the kitchen almost every single day,” Lane said from her home in Shawnee, Kansas where she’s created a second career as a food entrepreneur and digital influencer after several decades of working at Hallmark.

Lane joined Les Dames in 2022 because of her experience as is an accomplished home-trained cook and her position as owner of the brand Lauren Lane Culinarian. As a successful food blogger, writer, photographer, videographer and social media influencer, it is her mission to inspire others to follow their dreams no matter their age and encourage others to gather around the dining table to create memories. Lauren’s success has expanded beyond her own social channels.
